This is a lecture, not a sermon or a devotional address, but I want to start with two verses from Paul’s Letter to the Romans: ‘Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptised into his death? March 2 was ‘Walk to Church Sunday’. A group of twenty or more gathered at the local school and walked the 2km to church together. As part of the Sunday clubs the children made a ‘foot banner’. Over forty pairs of feet , dipped in coloured paint, walked out from the centre of the banner, a visual reminder that we are to be bearers of Christ’s light in our world. At the end of the activity the children washed one another’s feet.

The Parish AGM was held on Sunday March 2 2008. After the elections, Vestry members spoke to their report. A copy of the reports can be found here: reports 2007. Phyllis Mossman was reappointed Vicar’s Churchwarden; Penny Grigg was reelected People’s Churchwarden; Reid Booth, Louise Goble, John Grigg, Marina Hanbury-Sparrow, Libby Hinton, Don McIlroy, Charles Odlin, and Keith Young were (re)elected onto Vestry; and Jane Tippett and Alexander Brunt were (re)elected as Synod Representatives. During General Business Rob Burridge presented an update on the Redevelopment project. A summary of the AGM will be found in the next edition of OUTLOOK.
