Lost in Translation
There are times when I wish I had paid more attention to my fourth form French teacher. One such time was at the beginning of my academic study in 2006. This year a great turnout ensured everyone had a blast at the local community carols, the hall was packed and within the various entertainment there was something for everyone. We have some more photos here

I want to tell you this morning the story of a man called Michael May.
At the age of three, Michael suffered a terrible injury. He found a container of chemical fuel in his family garage and it exploded in his face. The burns destroyed his left eye and they damaged the surface of his right, leaving it sensitive only to light and dark. Read more

On Wednesday I attended a performance of the Nativity Play at Alexander’s school. It’s a special occasion for the year one to three boys. A lot of work goes into it - costumes are made, songs are learnt, lines rehearsed – and on the day, the hall is filled with an atmosphere of innocent joy, as the children retell the Christmas story in front of the older boys and their parents.
